Our client is an international automotive OEM producer of motor vehicles and is currently recruiting for a Product Analyst position based in Sandton.
Job Role Summary
Conceptualize, develop, and implement after-sales campaigns and promotions to improve dealer throughput and ensure the achievement of genuine parts sales objectives.
Develop business cases for proposed campaigns and promotions, present them for approval to after-sales management and finance controlling, and support projects within the after-sales division, including market research and analysis. Provide support to strategic projects within the after-sales business unit.
Key Duties
- Conceptualize, develop, and implement after-sales campaigns and promotions to improve dealer throughput and achieve genuine parts sales objectives.
- Develop business cases for campaigns and promotions, and present them for approval to management and finance teams.
- Support projects related to own workshop and over-the-counter channels within after-sales.
- Conduct market research and analysis as required by the business.
- Support strategic projects within the after-sales business unit.
- Write marketing briefs for campaigns and promotions, and present them to marketing communications and creative/media agencies.
- Conduct Homogeneous Parts Groups (HPGs) analysis to identify declining groups and parts for potential campaigns.
- Monitor and report on dealer performance related to campaigns and promotions.
- Engage regularly with dealers to gather market intelligence, identify trends, and solicit ideas for new campaigns.
- Assist with dealer queries related to product management activities.
- Coordinate dealer parts incentive programs, including target setting and incentives to boost brand performance and parts turnover.
- Conduct dealer workshops to communicate campaign details.
- Support field teams with relevant campaign and performance data.
- Develop programs to enhance customer loyalty and retention.
- Assist with departmental activities like bulk deals, Save a Car, Save a Job, etc.
Qualifications & Experience
- National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Commerce, Sciences, Engineering, Data, or IT.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales, after-sales, dealer operations, campaigns/promotions management, or marketing.
- Advanced skills in MS Office and data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Python, Google Analytics).
- Knowledge of automotive OEM/importer and dealer after-sales operations is desirable.
- Strong communication, conceptual, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Design thinking, self-starter attitude, and team orientation.
- Experience with sales, marketing, and customer loyalty strategies.
- Ability to work under pressure and focus on quality.
- Insightful, data-driven approach with planning and results-oriented mindset.
- Understanding of marketing and branding parts including pricing, sourcing, and sales.
