Salary : R400 000 CTC per annum (negotiable, incl. provident fund + performance-based bonus)

About the Role

Our client isrecruiting for a skilled Procurement TenderManager to oversee and negotiate group-purchasing contracts across their member institutions. This role is central to achieving cost savings, efficiency, and value for money while ensuring excellent service delivery to stakeholders.

You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, leading tender processes, and implementing procurement strategies that benefit members.

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate and manage group-purchasing contracts in collaboration with member institutions.
• Identify new opportunities for contracts through market research and stakeholder engagement.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to maximise value and return on investment.
• Manage tender and contract award processes, ensuring transparency and legal compliance.
• Oversee supplier performance, ensuring quality, cost savings, and timely delivery.
• Drive the implementation and optimisation of the e-tender and catalogue system.
• Provide accurate reporting to the CEO and management forums.
• Facilitate stakeholder forums and strengthen supplier / member relationships.
• Lead and support procurement staff, ensuring process standardisation and compliance.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Commerce, Business Management, or equivalent .

Minimum 3 years private sector experience in procurement.

Proven end-to-end tender management knowledge.

Stable career track record (at least 2 years in one role).

Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.

Ability to work under pressure with a demanding workload.

Willingness to travel domestically as required.
