Reporting to the National Procurement Manager, the incumbent will be part of the Procurement Team and will be based at the Shared Services Centre - Weltevredenpark.The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Creating, verifying and maintaining vendor master data on SAP
- Ensuring timeous creation, processing of amendments and extension of material masters for all company codes
- Reporting monthly, quarterly and annually to management and internal stakeholders on material and vendor master data for the various regions and consolidated for AfriSam
- Completing and submitting credit applications on behalf of the Company to ensure that the company requirements meets its credit limits with suppliers
- Maintaining a drive to enhance the Enterprise and Supplier Development score card
- Housekeeping of vendor and material master data
- Administrating of general communication to suppliers, vendors and procurement staff
- Compiling quarterly vendor statistics for active vendors in terms of spend, payment terms and B-BBEE levels
- Assisting management team to identify technological solutions to improve efficiencies and effectiveness
- Project leading all technological solutions implementation and ensuring that it is up to date and maintained.
- Collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with Procurement policies and procedures
Qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience required:- Degree or Diploma in Commercial/Business/Supply Chain/Procurement Management.
- CIPS qualification (advantageous)
- 3 years’ experience within a Financial or Procurement environment and 2 year’s corporate experience in the Procurement/Administration environment.
- At least 3 year’s hands on SAP MM/FI experience and good understanding of the modules
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office
- Experience in online procurement solutions and the implementation of online procurement solutions, specifically vendor and material master data solutions
- Experience in master data management on SAP
- Good knowledge of BEE related legislation and procurement processes
- Analytical skills, planning, general administration skills and good communication skills
- Team player and ability lead a team to achieve objectives Ability to handle complaints and solve root cause problem and meeting deadlines
