    Our client, a leading global professional services organisation, is seeking a Procurement Specialist – Sourcing & Contracts to support sourcing and contract management activities across multiple spend categories including Workplace, HR, Marketing, Travel, Legal, and Finance. This role will focus on supporting the South African market and involves cross-functional collaboration with global and regional stakeholders.

    What you will do:

    Category Strategy and Planning

    • Implement global and regional category strategies at the local level.
    • Participate in category community calls and foster collaboration locally.

    Sourcing Management:

    • Identify and execute sourcing projects aligned with global/regional category strategies.
    • Build and maintain a local sourcing pipeline through spend analysis and stakeholder engagement.
    • Support the rollout of regional sourcing initiatives in South Africa.
    • Apply standard sourcing methodologies to achieve value through negotiation and contracting.
    • Conduct market research and supplier identification for sourcing projects.
    • Develop technical specifications and RFP documents aligned with global strategies.
    • Facilitate supplier selection and negotiate commercial terms.
    • Provide stakeholder recommendations to support supplier decision-making.
    • Finalise supplier awards and initiate contract implementation.

    Contract Management

    • Negotiate and deploy supplier contracts including KPIs and SLAs in collaboration with Legal.
    • Ensure local addendums for global agreements are correctly implemented.
    • Guarantee compliance with local legislation and internal policies.
    • Manage contract signatures and maintain accurate records in contract repositories.

    Buying Process Support

    • Set up suppliers in procurement systems and determine the appropriate buying channels (e.g., catalogs, Buy on Contract, Ariba Network).
    • Promote adoption of negotiated contracts and monitor usage.
    • Maintain and update preferred supplier lists.

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Identify and engage key stakeholders across the business.
    • Collect and manage feedback on category performance and supplier delivery.
    • Organise value-driven sessions with internal customers.
    • Liaise across departments (Procurement, Legal, Operations, Category Teams) to ensure seamless communication and project alignment.
    • Promote use of global and regional strategic suppliers.
    • Manage local supplier relationships in line with global strategies and performance expectations.

    Process Governance and Compliance

    • Support the development and localisation of end-to-end procurement processes, tools, and templates.
    • Ensure full compliance with local legislation, company policies, and risk management standards.
    • Monitor category KPIs (e.g., contract compliance, savings targets, preferred supplier usage) and take corrective action where needed.
      • Strong understanding of local market dynamics, procurement processes, and supplier landscapes.
      • Experience in working within a matrixed, multicultural organisation.
      • Proven knowledge of sourcing execution and procurement methodologies.
      • Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
      • Strong relationship management with a customer-centric approach.
      • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and highly organised.
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands.
