Job description

Procurement Specialist position available in Cape Town.

We’re seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to manage raw material sourcing for our manufacturing operations.

Remuneration: R45 000 to R65 000 per month.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Source and manage global raw material suppliers.
  • Lead procurement strategies that reduce cost and improve efficiency.
  • Track supplier performance (OTIF, quality, lead times).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align supply with production needs.
  • Improve purchasing cycles and safety stock levels.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and streamline supply chain operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • CIPS qualification (advantageous).
  • 3+ years’ experience in raw material procurement in manufacturing.
  • Strong skills in sourcing, negotiation, and supplier contracting.
  • Experience with international suppliers, imports, and logistics.
  • Proficient in demand forecasting, inventory management, and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
