Job summary

BDO South Africa in Johannesburg (Illovo) seeks an SCM and Procurement Audit Specialist to enhance procurement governance, policies and internal controls across the lifecycle.

You will support process mapping, control assessment, data analysis and advisory deliverables for clients, working with stakeholders in SCM, Finance and Risk.

0–3 years experience in consulting or SCM roles is desirable; a relevant degree is required, with opportunities to progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Business, Risk or related field.
• 0–3 years relevant experience in consulting, advisory, governance, risk or SCM support roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing and analysing SCM frameworks, policies and delegations of authority.
• Develop end-to-end SCM process maps covering demand management, sourcing, contracting and procure-to-pay.
• Document control activities and control objectives aligned to risks.
• Perform Excel-based data analysis such as spend reviews, supplier analysis and exception identification.
• Participate in workshops and meetings with client stakeholders and prepare minutes.
• Maintain project files, trackers and documentation in line with engagement methodology.
