Salary: R40 CTC

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Procurement / Sales Representative with experience in the automotive truck spares industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing quality parts, managing supplier relationships, and driving sales by providing excellent customer service and technical advice. This role requires both strong procurement skills and a sales-driven mindset, with solid product knowledge of truck components and spares.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Duties:

  • Assist walk-in and telephonic customers with part identification and pricing.
  • Provide technical support and advice on truck spares.
  • Generate quotations, invoices, and follow up on outstanding quotes.
  • Upsell additional products and promotions to customers.
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Achieve monthly sales targets and contribute to company growth.

Procurement Duties:

  • Source and purchase truck parts locally and internationally as required.
  • Obtain competitive quotes and negotiate with suppliers for best pricing and terms.
  • Ensure timely delivery of orders to meet customer and workshop requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier details.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure replenishment of fast-moving items.
  • Identify and develop new supplier relationships to broaden the product base.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) – essential.
  • 3+ years’ experience in sales and/or procurement within the automotive truck spares industry.
  • Strong product knowledge of truck brands and parts (Mercedes, MAN, Volvo, Scania, etc.).
  • Experience working with inventory and sales systems (e.g. Pastel, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Valid driver’s license – advantageous.
