Job summary

Huawei Africa Ltd. is seeking a procurement professional to lead engineering project procurement, ensuring resource availability and on-time execution. The role requires coordinating with engineering, operations, logistics and finance, managing supplier performance and tender processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement activities for engineering projects to ensure resource assurance, material availability, and alignment with project schedules.
  • Manage supplier lead-time planning and expediting to mitigate delays and ensure on-time project execution.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to ensure procurement deliverables support project milestones.
  • Drive project delivery assurance through proactive risk identification, mitigation planning, and supplier performance tracking.
  • Monitor procurement KPIs, cost, quality, and schedule adherence to support successful project completion.
  • Manage tender implementation (RFQ/RFP processes), supplier evaluations, negotiations, and sourcing recommendations.

Lead procurement activities for engineering projects to ensure resource assurance, material availability, and alignment with project schedules. Manage supplier lead-time planning and expediting to mitigate delays and ensure on-time project execution. Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, operations, logistics, finance, and suppliers) to ensure procurement deliverables support project milestones. Drive project delivery assurance through proactive risk identification, mitigation planning, and supplier performance tracking. Monitor procurement KPIs, cost, quality, and schedule adherence to support successful project completion. Manage tender implementation (RFQ/RFP processes), supplier evaluations, negotiations, and sourcing recommendations.
