My client, a leading and well-known retailer based in Woodstock, Cape Town, requires a competent and experienced procurement manager to join their team.
The role reports to the Finance Administration Manager.
Core responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Procurement department.
- Oversee procurement of Office Furniture at Head Office, Divisional Offices, and Branches.
- Manage procurement of staff uniforms & stationery at Head Office and Branches.
- Conduct monthly sectional stock takes, including the annual stock take.
- Review business processes & systems to achieve efficiencies, controls, and cost savings.
- Process orders, GRVs, invoices, credit notes, and Journals on Pastel.
- Handle departmental month-end procedures & activities on Pastel.
- Manage special projects and resolve supplier issues and conflicts.
- Oversee staff issues and coordinate with internal departments.
- Prepare monthly statements for all chains.
- Manage statement requirements for Marketing & Customer Management systems.
- Review data for statements.
- Generate management reports for finance, statements, and logistics.

Qualifications and experience
- Preferably a tertiary qualification such as a Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or similar.
- Experience in Project Management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & Pastel.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- 5-10 years of procurement or management experience, with a proven track record as a Procurement Manager.

- Must be criminal and credit clear.
- Must reside in the Greater Cape Town area.
