Job description

RPO Recruitment's client is urgently seeking a Procurement Manager in Gauteng. This role is with a multidisciplinary engineering design and project management firm specializing in innovative, sustainable technoeconomic solutions for mining projects from concept to commissioning and handover.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage, revise, and implement Procurement Policies and Procedures.
2. Standardize procurement documentation, including forms of contract such as FIDIC, NEC, and bespoke agreements.
3. Oversee Vendor Management, ensuring BBBEE and client-specific requirements are met.
4. Manage internal subconsultant agreements.
5. Coordinate with Engineering, Project Controls, Information Management, Expediting, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control teams.
6. Administer contracts to comply with GIBB and client agreements, obligations, and rights.
7. Maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
8. Develop and implement client procurement strategies focused on projects.
9. Formulate procurement strategies supporting global sourcing, import consignment rulings, and compliance with Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE).
10. Develop and implement project staff core teams.
11. Manage and control procurement functions, fostering effective communication with all stakeholders.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Finance, or Quantity Surveying.
2. Project Management qualification with NEC and FIDIC contract experience.
3. Minimum 15 years of commercial management experience.
4. At least 10 years of EPCM/EPC project procurement management experience in multidisciplinary projects.
5. Strong knowledge of EPCM/EPC procurement management and standard contracts like FIDIC and NEC.
6. Proficient in Quantity Surveying principles.
7. Excellent understanding of local and global supplier and contractor sourcing.
8. Sound commercial, contract administration, and ERP systems knowledge.
9. Strong document management skills.
