Overview

Our client, a well-established business in the automotive sector, is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager with a strong background in automotive parts and spares buying. This is a fantastic opportunity for a procurement professional who understands the industry, has strong supplier networks, and can deliver cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for automotive parts and spares.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with both local and international suppliers.
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply and competitive pricing.
  • Monitor stock levels, manage inventory requirements, and minimise obsolete stock.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives while ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and finance teams to streamline processes.
  • Analyse market trends to identify opportunities and alternative suppliers.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team to achieve business objectives.
  • Provide management with regular procurement performance reports.
Requirements
  • 5+ years’ proven procurement management / buying experience within the automotive & spare parts sector .
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive parts and supplier networks.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Strong understanding of inventory and supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in ERP / procurement systems (SAP, Pastel or similar).
  • Relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Logistics (advantageous).
  • Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills.
