Procurement Manager

Minimum Requirements:

1. Grade 12 Supply Chain, Logistics, Economics, or Agriculture Degree
2. More than 7 years procurement experience
3. Experience with RFP and RFQ processes
4. Excellent negotiator
5. Agriculture or packaging experience
6. Proficient with Power BI
7. Valid driver's license as you might need to drive to suppliers from time to time

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Negotiate terms and products with various suppliers
2. Evaluate existing contracts to ensure it is cost-efficient
3. Establish and maintain efficient supply procedures and services
4. Maintain and develop relationships with various suppliers
5. Stay competitive by researching the market and prices
6. Ensure favourable contract terms by working with the company's legal department
7. Ensure efficient inventory management
8. Investigate the opportunities related to supplier optimisation
9. Investigate centralised buying opportunities and make recommendations to reduce cost and/or change suppliers
10. Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, operations, quality assurance, and logistics to gather information and align on requirements
11. Identify ways to improve operational efficiency and opportunities for savings
12. Strategic sourcing
