This role is pivotal in ensuring the continued success of the ZAF inventory management teams, setting strategic direction and driving continuous improvement. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong change‑management skills, be highly focused, results‑driven, and possess demonstrable experience of process improvement and achieving organizational profitability. The role requires leading and developing others both within direct responsibility and across the wider organization, working autonomously within set guidelines, and applying a varied background in supply chain management with a particular focus on inventory management principles and techniques.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the effective management and supervision of the ZAF Purchasing Teams.
- Drive development of regular reporting including key performance metrics for supply chain management.
- Drive the team to achieve group and personal objectives related to profit improvements, service attainment, and personal growth.
- Drive the team to ensure that all relevant supplier details and product price information is accurately maintained on the appropriate system.
- Drive the team to ensure inbound freight costs are managed to optimize supply‑chain costs.
- Constantly review and suggest improvements to processes to bring efficiencies and cost savings to the supply chain.
- Develop supplier relationships and introduce measurement tools to improve supplier performance.
- Maintain supply agreements and quality agreements with suppliers.
- Develop internal relationships, influencing key internal customers to promote professional purchasing principles across the business, ensuring timely communication and problem resolution.
- Develop regular communication with key stakeholders to address business needs and meet organizational objectives.
- Implement and maintain appropriate budgetary control, providing all reporting under the guidance of the Executive Director Europe and the Financial Manager ZAF.
- Manage and maintain compliance with company quality systems, Sarbanes‑Oxley regulations and all other appropriate regulatory bodies.
- Drive and develop individual skill sets to meet role requirements, ensuring team members possess the necessary skills to meet business objectives.
- Progress and achieve set objectives as defined by the Departmental Head on a yearly basis.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.
- Support the business and reduce high stock levels – a key focus.

- Meet company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work‑related tasks in compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and directives regarding workplace behaviour when completing job duties and assignments.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience within an international company at a senior management level.
- Thorough knowledge of supply‑chain processes and a comprehensive understanding of ERP systems.
- Computer literate using Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, Excel – Advanced, PowerPoint).
