Job description

Job & Company Description:

A growing multi-country organisation is looking for a driven Global Procurement Manager to establish and directly manage its developing procurement function.

Operating in a lean, growth-focused environment, you will take hands‑on responsibility for strategic sourcing, supplier identification and onboarding, RFQ/RFP processes, commercial negotiations, purchasing, supplier performance, contracts, cost optimisation and procurement governance.

This is not a role for someone who only manages procurement through a large team. You will be expected to personally execute key procurement activities, build practical processes and develop a scalable supplier‑management model as the organisation expands internationally. UCG_JD Procurement Manager

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce or a related discipline
  • CIPS or CPSM certification would be advantageous UCG_JD Procurement Manager

The opportunity:

This position offers something different from a traditional Procurement Manager role.

You will have the opportunity to help shape the procurement function from an early stage — establishing supplier controls, improving commercial terms, developing sourcing strategies, mitigating supplier risk and creating the procurement processes required to support international growth.

The organisation's first 90‑day expectations include assessing the existing supplier base and open commitments, establishing procurement controls, reviewing supplier performance and commercial terms, and ultimately developing a scalable procurement operating model. UCG_JD Procurement Manager

If you are commercially sharp, technically strong in procurement and enjoy building rather than simply maintaining — this could be the opportunity for you.
