Job description

A dynamic organization based in Midrand is looking to employ a Procurement Manager with 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Minimum Requirements

  • Matric
  • Valid Driver’s License & Own Vehicle
  • Preferred bachelor’s degree/similar in Procurement field
  • MS Office Suite and SYSPRO will be an advantage
  • Strong focus on foreign supply chain and demand planning
  • Must have managed a team of 4 – 6 employees
  • Must have experience in Local and International buying
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with company goals
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favourable terms and pricing
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to continuously improve procurement processes
  • Oversee operations of the raw material warehouse, ensuring effective stock control and rotation
  • Collaborate with production and inventory teams to forecast material requirements
  • Implement inventory systems for tracking stock levels, deliveries, and replenishment schedules
  • Lead and manage procurement and warehouse personnel
  • Maintain strong, long-term supplier relationships
  • Conduct performance reviews and address concerns proactively
  • Negotiate contracts, including trading terms, rebates, and early settlement discounts
