Job description

Team Leadership

• Manage a team across Procurement, Transport, Imports, Exports, and Inventory Control
• Ensure all departments align with supply chain goals and timelines

Procurement

• Negotiate with suppliers and service providers
• Lead procurement practices aligned with BBBEE Codes
• Manage supplier performance and cost control

Stores & Inventory Management

• Oversee issuing and receiving of stock with proper documentation
• Ensure stock reconciles with ERP/accounting systems
• Work closely with Finance to close monthly financials

Transport & Logistics

• Plan and oversee local transport operations
• Ensure fleet is maintained efficiently (managed by transport team)
• Plan and manage imports and exports with correct documentation and INCOTERMS
• Liaise with freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery
• Understand and ensure compliance with AARTO Act
• Ensure export documentation (SAD500, SARS customs) is handled correctly

Qualifications & Experience:

• Relevant qualification in Supply Chain or related field
• Proven experience managing a team across multiple supply chain functions
• Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments
• Strong understanding of demand planning, inventory control, procurement, and logistics
• Exposure to import/export regulations, customs, and documentation
• Computer literate (ERP systems such as Syspro beneficial)
