Position Overview

In this position, you will lead the overall device procurement function for our South African business and be responsible for the purchase and management of all inventory and supplier management functions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective purchase of sales stock.
  • Manage and evaluate supplier relationships to maintain high-quality standards and reliable supply chains.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes for the company.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with sales and inventory teams to forecast demand and manage stock levels effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and market conditions.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to supplier deliveries and product quality.
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the mobile phone or electronics industry.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
