Job description

Job Function:

This role will drive Sourcing Reporting & Data Analytics for the group procurement department, including:

1. Data Analytics: Analyze and conduct detailed spend analysis, ensuring access and accuracy of spend-related data for market engagement, evaluation, and benefits tracking.
2. Organizing Data in Microsoft Excel: Use advanced functions and formulas for sorting, aggregating, and managing data, working with large databases and consolidating data from different business units.
3. Interpretation of Outcomes: Provide insights, interpret statistical findings, and draw meaningful conclusions from data for various business needs.
4. Data Presentation and Visualisation: Create graphs and charts, and write impactful reports to guide business decision-making at the Exco level.

Key Requirements:

• Organizing Data in Microsoft Excel using advanced functions and formulas, handling large databases, and consolidating data sets from different units.
• Providing insights, interpreting statistical findings, and drawing conclusions relevant to business needs.
• Creating informative graphs and charts, and writing impactful reports for executive decision-making.
• Delivering reliable, on-time, high-quality data analytic solutions to enable faster, informed decisions.
• Assisting in strategic sourcing tender processes, including developing historical spend data, tender preparation, and evaluation.
• Performing trend analysis, deviation reporting, and ensuring adherence to supply chain policies and procedures.
• Collaborating with BU’s and finance to resolve spend data queries and ensure data accuracy.
• Analyzing spend data to categorize, clean, verify, and resolve inconsistencies, and to prepare for market engagement.
• Preparing price baselines, updating benefit tracking, and performing monthly benefit analyses and reporting.
• Supporting VP and Strategic Sourcing with SLA performance reports and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitoring compliance with purchasing policies based on spend data.

Qualifications required:

• Bachelor's or equivalent 3-year degree in Information Systems or relevant field.

Experience & Skills required:

• Experience in procurement within a large corporate environment.
• 3-5 years of data analytical experience.
• 3-5 years in consulting or as a specialist data analyst.
