Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Buyer to join our Esse team. In this role, you will be responsible for departmental stock takes, sourcing new, and maintaining current supplier relations to ensure on time delivery, negotiation and achievement of pricing objectives per supplier.

Responsibilities

• Do departmental stock takes
• Sourcing of new suppliers and maintaining current supplier relations to ensure on time delivery.
• Negotiating and achieving pricing objectives per supplier.
• Reporting, invoicing, managing inventory, and analysing data (EXCEL).
• Supplier Negotiations, Purchase Order generations, follow up with Suppliers to ensure on time delivery.
• To expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.

Requirements/ Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field will be advantageous.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a buyer is essential. 3 years+ experience is preferred
• Experience in the Packaging industry will be advantageous
• Must be able to perform work function effectively in a team environment
• Excellent, communication, and interpersonal and skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAGE, EXPERDYTE
• Good problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, analytical skills and a desire to learn new techniques and industry trends
• Needs excellent organizational skills, being able to manage multiple projects at once while keeping an eye on details in all tasks.
