What are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced and talented Procurement (Buyer) to join our team.

The candidate should possess strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills, along with the ability to build relationships and manage risks while focusing on cost savings and value for money.

What do we expect from the candidate?
The candidate will be part of the Procurement department.

The objective of the position is to secure the best possible value for the organization by finding the right suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, and managing the procurement process efficiently, while also maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Find and evaluate potential suppliers.
2. Place orders with suppliers both local and foreign.
3. Manage all aspects of imports.
4. Monitor progress with shipments concerning ETDs, ETAs, and inland logistics.
5. Build and manage supplier relationships.
6. Keep abreast with market trends.
7. Monitor and resolve price variance queries related to suppliers.
8. Compile product specification sheets and material safety data sheets.
9. Plan and maintain optimum stock levels in conjunction with the sales team and operations.
10. Prepare Monthly reports for various management meetings.
11. Prepare monthly costing.
12. Report all non-conformances within the job spec immediately.
13. Ensure all purchasing requirements are met.
14. Expedite purchase orders and report any delays immediately.
15. Ensure company objectives are met through responsible purchasing in BBBEE accredited suppliers.
16. Manage indent and Forex.
17. Source quality products at competitive prices both local and international.
18. Regularly update internal stakeholders with external factors concerning supply issues.

Must-Have (Requirements):

1. Grade 12 / Matric.
2. Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain and/or Logistics.
3. 3 to 5 years relevant experience in supply chain/procurement.

Nice-to-Have:

1. Syspro will be an added advantage.
2. Attention to detail.
3. Excellent computer literacy skills.
