SUMMARY :

Our client, an Installations company, based in Parow Industria Cape Town requires a competent candidate to coordinate the procurement function.

POSITION INFO :

Key Responsibilities :

Sourcing new suppliers (international and local)

Sourcing new and better products through negotiation process

Relationship management with International Sourcing Office (Shanghai)

Ensure supplier visits and meetings are conducted (existing and new)

Assist management team with reaching GP Margins through sourcing initiatives

Manage price list of brands

Constantly communicate with stakeholders regarding new and discontinued products

Supplier Management via supplier reviews

Conduct annual price reviews

Procurement Reports Management

Lead procurement team in absence of manager

Job Requirements :

Buying / Supply Chain Tertiary Qualification

5-8 years buying / procurement experience

Experience within manufacturing industry and electrical industry advantageous

Experience in supervising a team advantageous

Experience in directly negotiating with global suppliers and working across cross-cultural environments

Strong understanding of contract law and procurement compliance

Proficient in ERP systems

Advanced Excel / Google sheets skills

Competencies required : negotiation, integrity, performing under pressure, relationship building, flexibility
