Procurement and Project Manager – Bedfordview.

A leader in the aviation, defence, and aerospace sector is seeking a highly organized and detail-orientedProject Coordinator to strengthen its South African operations.

This role is vital in ensuring the smooth execution of complex projects that span procurement, logistics, and stakeholder management across global markets.

The ideal candidate will help drive cutting-edge projects in aircraft maintenance, aviation supply, defence equipment, and high-tech systems integration — ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.

Salary: R25 000 to R40 000 per month CTC.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Proven experience in project coordination and procurement, preferably in aviation or maritime sectors
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project or similar)
• Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing project needs

Duties and Responsibilities:

Project Coordination:

• Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones and objectives are met
• Track project progress, identify potential risks, and recommend mitigation strategies
• Maintain project documentation, including schedules, task lists, and status reports

Procurement:

• Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, and manage procurement processes to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies
• Maintain strong vendor relationships, monitor supplier performance, and resolve issues as needed

Order Management:

• Monitor orders from initiation to delivery, ensuring alignment with project timelines and specifications
• Coordinate with suppliers, logistics teams, and internal stakeholders for smooth order processing and delivery

Reporting:

• Create comprehensive reports on project status, procurement activities, and delivery performance for internal and external use
• Provide regular updates to project managers and senior leadership, highlighting key metrics and potential areas for improvement

Communication:

• Act as a central point of contact for project-related communication, both internally and externally
• Maintain clear and open communication channels with team members, suppliers, and clients
