Job summary

Are you a commercially minded, analytical professional with a passion for procurement, e-commerce and data-driven decision-making?

TechMarkit is looking for a Procurement and E-commerce Specialist to support the Merchandise team in managing product setup, online listings, pricing, replenishment and procurement activities. Reporting to the Merchandise Manager, you will play an important role in ensuring product and procurement processes are accurate, efficient and aligned to business objectives.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, systems and stakeholders, and who is looking to build their career within a fast-paced retail and e-commerce environment.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Product Administration

• Create and maintain SKUs within the ERP system.
• Set up and maintain product listings on Shopify.
• Create and maintain product price plans.
• Ensure product and pricing information is accurate and up to date.

Ordering & Replenishment

• Calculate appropriate replenishment levels based on sales and stock data.
• Create and process purchase orders.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding purchase orders with suppliers.
• Create and manage inter-branch stock transfers.
• Support the Merchandise team in maintaining optimal stock availability.
• Conduct category analysis and prepare regular reporting.
• Analyse category performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain dashboards to support commercial decision-making.
• Conduct category shop-out analysis.
• Support the implementation and launch of new procurement and merchandise initiatives.
• Contribute to margin improvement programmes and identify opportunities to enhance profitability.

Qualification & Experience

• BCom or BSc degree is essential.
• Honours degree will be advantageous.
• 1-3 years' relevant working experience.
• Experience in procurement, merchandising, retail or e-commerce will be advantageous.

Skills & Competencies

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and numerical capabilities.
• Advanced AI skills and an ability to leverage AI tools to improve efficiency and analysis.
• Experience working with ERP systems and e-commerce platforms, preferably Shopify.
