Job summary

Tiger Brands is seeking a Production Operator to support daily production goals in our Gauteng facility in Brakpan. You will mix products according to SOPs, ensure batches meet specifications, and uphold GMP and Food Safety standards.

Responsibilities include cleaning equipment, CIP procedures, visual inspections, QC swab coordination, batch record keeping and material verification. A focus on accuracy and adherence to recipes is essential.

• Mix products competently according to SOPs to meet daily production plan.
• Batch products according to recipes and meet specifications.
• Clean mixing equipment and surrounding area per GMP and Food Safety.
• CIP the tanks and fillers as required.
• Perform visual inspections inside tanks before batch making.
• Inform QC to take swabs after CIP.
• Complete CIP check-sheets.
• Audit material against shop floor order and rectify discrepancies.
• Receive batch raw material from stores.
• Download recipes from system and load information per shop floor order.
• Compare shop floor order with recipes.
• Record batches in batch control book.
• Take samples of product to QC.

Batches of products are mixed according to the applicable recipes and meet product specifications.

• Clean the mixing equipment and surrounding area (as per GMP & Food Safety requirements)
• CIP the tanks and Fillers according to the specific requirements.
• Do visual inspections inside tanks before starting batch making
• Inform QC to take swabs after CIP
• Complete CIP check-sheets
• Audit material against shop floor order and rectify discrepancies with Issuer and sign
• Receive (batch) raw material from stores
• Download recipes from system and load information according to the shop floor order and plan
• Compare shop floor order with the recipes
• Connect swing band properly to avoid contamination of products.
• Report any discrepancies to the Process Controller
• Record the batches on the batch control book
• Take samples of product to QC.
