Job summary

Tiger Brands in Gauteng is looking for a production operator to support daily manufacturing. You will mix products according to SOPs to meet the production plan and ensure batches meet specifications, while adhering to GMP and Food Safety standards on the shop floor.

Responsibilities include cleaning equipment, CIP, tank inspections, recording batches, and coordinating with QC and the process controller to resolve discrepancies and ensure on-time production.

Responsibilities

• Clean the mixing equipment and surrounding area (as per GMP & Food Safety requirements)
• CIP the tanks and Fillers according to the specific requirements
• Do visual inspections inside tanks before starting batch making
• Inform QC to take swabs after CIP
• Complete CIP check-sheets
• Audit material against shop floor order and rectify discrepancies with Issuer and sign
• Receive (batch) raw material from stores
• Download recipes from system and load information according to the shop floor order and plan
• Compare shop floor order with the recipes
• Connect swing band properly to avoid contamination of products
• Report any discrepancies to the Process Controller
• Record the batches on the batch control book
• Take samples of product to QC
