Job summary

PURPOSE OF ROLE

To monitor and improve the production process according to agreed standards to minimise process variation and support the achievement of Quality, Safety and Cost (QSC) targets.

Key Performance Areas And Responsibilities

• Monitor production processes and equipment performance on the shop floor and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Analyse production and process data, control charts and key process variables to identify trends, deviations and opportunities for corrective action.
• Conduct process investigations and root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Monitor product quality and ensure that out-of-specification products are identified, controlled and appropriately addressed.
• Support process control, quality plans, control plans, FMEA, SOPs and other relevant manufacturing documentation.
• Participate in quality, process control, problem-solving meetings and provide technical input.
• Initiate and support continuous improvement projects aimed at improving process performance, quality, productivity and cost.
• Support new product and raw material trials, including process capability assessments, data analysis and implementation of required process controls.
• Maintain effective working relationships with Operations, Maintenance, Quality Assurance and other relevant stakeholders.
• Provide technical support, coaching and mentoring to operational teams on process standards and controls.
• Participate in internal and external audits and assist with addressing identified gaps and corrective actions.
• Promote compliance with company requirements relating to safety, health, quality and environmental standards.
• Identify training needs and support the development and assessment of employee processes and technical competencies.
