Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in process engineering or chemical plant operations.
• Proven track record of optimizing chemical processes with measurable results.
• Strong knowledge of chemical process design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mass transfer.
• Experience with process simulation software (Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and data analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to base in or commute to Midrand, Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current chemical processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
• Develop and implement process improvement strategies, including equipment/material/procedure modifications.
• Model changes using process simulation and data analysis tools to predict impact.
• Oversee design, installation, and commissioning of new equipment or upgrades.
• Collaborate with operators, maintenance, and R&D to troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor KPIs and generate reports on process performance and improvements.
• Ensure all operations comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Manage project timelines and budgets for improvement initiatives.
• Stay updated on advancements in chemical engineering and process optimization.
