Job summary

SAB in South Africa is recruiting for a Brewing Technician Artisan to operate the brewing and related processes, perform quality checks, and coach teammates while supporting asset care activities. You will apply core competencies to optimise plant and process performance.

The role requires a National Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering or Biological Sciences; brewing qualification is advantageous. 1–3 years' brewing experience and SAP proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years' brewing experience is advantageous.
• Understanding of the brewing process from raw material transfers to Bright Beer Tank (BBT), including utilities.
• PC literacy (Microsoft Office and SAP).
• Physically fit and healthy, capable of lifting up to 20 kg.

The Key Purpose of this role is to operate the brewing and associated process areas, the execution of quality control checks and analyses, including coaching of other team members and supporting the Brewing Technician Artisan in carrying out asset care activities. Apply core competencies to achieve optimum plant and process performance.

Minimum Requirements:

• National Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering or Biological Sciences


• General Certificate in Brewing or Diploma in Brewing would be advantageous 1 - 3 years' experience in a brewing environment would be advantageous


• Previous experience in a process-controlled manufacturing environment, ideally within FMCG or food production


• Understanding of the brewing process from raw material transfers to Bright Beer Tank (BBT), including utilities


• PC literacy (Microsoft Office and SAP)


• Physically fit and healthy, with the ability to lift up to 20kg
