PURPOSE

This position exists to assist the Process Manager in ensuring the efficient operation of the plant against set objectives.

Responsibilities

Safety

• Carry out and fulfill responsibilities of an MHSA Section 2.9.2 legal appointment.
• Lead the team in complying with the company SHE strategy and zero harm framework.
• Ensure the team’s understanding of company safety policies, standards, and procedures.
• Identify areas for improvement in line with the company strategy.
• Identify SHE training requirements for reports.
• Participate in incident/accident investigation teams.
• Uphold all applicable legal minimum requirements.

Operations

• Achieve production and quality targets.
• Manage the performance of production shifts.
• Participate in maintenance planning and execution.
• Supervise and approve maintenance tasks.
• Ensure the plant operates within the cost budget.
• Maintain high standards of operational excellence.
• Identify process optimization needs.
• Control all process consumables within company standards.

People and System Management

• Drive team compliance with company strategy.
• Delegate tasks effectively.
• Manage time, attendance, and other systems.
• Identify and develop talent within areas of responsibility.
• Plan and schedule workforce activities.

Administration

• Complete safety, production, maintenance, personnel, and quality control records and reports.
