Job summary

Heineken Beverages (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd invites applications for a Process Engineer in our Springs plant. The role supports operational excellence by applying engineering expertise to optimize production, improve equipment performance, drive sustainability, and lead continuous improvement across the site.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will conduct mass and energy balances, develop PFDs/P&IDs, lead projects, perform downtime analysis, and champion process safety and data-driven

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (BTech/BEng)
• 5–8 years experience in process engineering or related
• Demonstrated project ownership with measurable technical contributions
• Proven leadership ability and team collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed mass and energy balances to verify process capability and support optimization.
• Develop, maintain, and analyse PFDs and P&IDs to support process understanding and compliance with engineering standards.
• Lead and support capital and operational projects, including design reviews, contractor management, FATs/SATs and commissioning.
• Perform operational analysis of equipment and processes, including downtime studies and performance benchmarking.
• Champion process safety and drive sustainability initiatives across the plant.
