Job description

What You Will Enjoy Doing

1. Ensure all IM-PET machines operate safely, efficiently, and reliably, according to recommended operating guidelines.
2. Ensure quality products are produced at all times and optimize the process to the fullest extent.
3. Ensure all raw materials required are available and defect-free before being put into the machine.
4. Make minor repairs to moulding machines.
5. Assist the Production Manager / Process Technicians in implementing training for Machine Operators.
6. Participate in Tool Design Reviews and recommend improvements to optimize moulding, setup, and manufacturing.
7. Analyze and improve existing processes using production data, design of experiments, Six Sigma, and other methods to reduce costs and improve quality and efficiency.
8. Troubleshoot moulding and manufacturing processes and material issues.
9. Work with internal and external resources to resolve issues and implement long-term solutions.
10. Research, develop, and implement manufacturing process controls, machinery modifications, and improvements.
11. Maintain good housekeeping practices consistently.
12. Report directly to the Business Unit Manager and maintain close communication with the Assistant Production Manager and Maintenance Co-ordinator.
13. Interact with the production team to identify issues as they arise.
14. Work closely with shift QCs to approve product quality during initial production runs.
15. Report technical requirements and equipment breakdowns to maintenance personnel.
