Job Purpose
Collaborate with businesses to enhance processes and performance. The aim is to apply business process principles in the analysis of As Is business operations and the mapping of the To Be business operating models and business process artefacts.
Pair with Product Designers (CX / UX), Business Architects, Testers (QA), Developers, and key roles in the requirements value chain. Apply the principles of Product Ownership Analysis and the strategy-to-execution framework.
Job Responsibilities
- Proactively plan process deliverables based on relevant project delivery method.
- Work with business stakeholders to prioritise process work.
- Design and execute process improvement initiatives, taking responsibility for individual delivery in terms of quality, scope, and time.
- Independently conduct As Is and To Be discovery, analysis, and design using relevant analysis techniques.
- Define the scope and estimations for process initiatives.
- Proactively engage with business on strategic initiatives requiring process improvement.
- Consult professionally with senior stakeholders across clusters.
- Build business cases to demonstrate business value & calculate ROI for stakeholders.
- Define and analyze value chains (cross-functional process mapping) linking business strategy to process architecture.
- Define the end-to-end process view (Operating model). Understand process improvement & Enterprise Architecture frameworks.
- Understand process measurement, tying value chain processes to corporate performance metrics. Use simulation to measure performance improvement when appropriate.
- Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including other Nedbank clusters.
- Ensure successful implementation of processes by evaluating benefit realization.
- Deep understanding of process and workflow streamlining, problem resolution, change management, and BPMS tool use.
- Understand when and how to use simulation to measure performance improvement.
- Apply industry and company change management policies and practices to process initiatives.
- Develop communication plans to facilitate planned changes.
- Create mitigation strategies for cross-organizational impacts of process improvements.
- Use BPM tools including project planning and tracking; provide progress reports to stakeholders.
- Understand how BPMS, process mining, and RPA tools are used for process automation.
- Manage capture of information in BPM tools and review models for standards compliance.
- Work with data architects to define data flow, transformation, interfaces, and sources for process mining.
- Understand big data concepts and their applications in research, customer experience, and data mining.
- Stay aware of current and emerging technology landscapes relevant to BPM.
- Understand regulatory and compliance drivers within their customer domain.
- Collaborate with solution project managers and IT to determine technical support approaches.
- Apply Nedbank process methods and practices on initiatives.
- Understand risk controls within their customer domain's risk appetite.
Qualifications and Experience
Preferred: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Business, or NQF Level 7 qualification.
Certifications: LEAN / SIX SIGMA-Yellow belt, CBPP, Business Analysis.
Experience: 7-10 years demonstrating proficiency in BPM, Change Management, and collaborative team methods. Leadership experience in small-to-medium process and performance improvement projects.
