Job summary

The role requires a BEng/BSc in engineering, at least 5 years of experience, and strong design and cost-estimation skills. You will interface with clients, suppliers, and project teams on site in Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Engineering degree in chemical, process, or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in process engineering, heat exchangers, or industrial plants.
• Proven experience with thermal design calculations and equipment sizing.
• Experience with cost estimation, tender preparation, and project execution.
• Strong heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid flow knowledge.
• Excellent reporting, communication, and client liaison skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and engineering design software.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform thermal design and calculations for heat exchangers.
• Prepare technical proposals, tenders, quotations, and cost estimates.
• Develop process and equipment designs for project execution.
• Provide technical support to clients and assist with sales.
• Coordinate engineering deliverables with project and contracts teams.
• Prepare operating manuals and vendor data packs.
• Support manufacturing, workshop coordination, and QA/QC.
• Assist with site inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Liaise with suppliers, inspection authorities, and customers.
