Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Process Engineer for our East London automotive client. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to drive efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness on the production floor.

You will lead cross-functional improvements, apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and ensure robust process documentation while supporting production with data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer, preferably within the automotive manufacturing sector.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC methodologies.
• Proficiency in CAD software and experience with process simulation tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement optimized manufacturing processes for automotive components and assemblies.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement and reduce waste.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and production, to ensure successful product launches and process improvements.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions.
• Monitor production performance, analyze data, and identify opportunities for enhanced efficiency and cost reduction.
