The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimising engineering processes to ensure efficiency, safety, and productivity.

This role requires in-depth knowledge of process engineering principles, experience in industrial environments, and the ability to lead projects aimed at improving operational workflows.

Responsibilities:
  1. Process Design & Optimization: Develop and optimise engineering processes, ensuring they meet safety, environmental, and performance standards. Conduct simulations and tests to analyse process systems, identifying inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Implement continuous improvement initiatives in line with lean manufacturing principles.
  2. Project Management: Lead and manage process engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring on-time delivery and within budget. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and quality departments. Prepare project scopes, feasibility studies, and technical documentation.
  3. Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Identify and resolve process issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions. Collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve equipment-related problems impacting process performance.
  4. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all processes comply with regulatory standards, including health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct risk assessments and safety reviews of process systems.
  5. Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect and analyse process data to evaluate performance metrics and trends. Prepare detailed reports on process efficiency, production output, and process improvements.
  6. Leadership & Development: Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in process engineering or operations management within the banking or financial services sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking operations, business processes, and workflow optimisation.
  • Proficiency in process mapping, improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen), and business process management (BPM) tools.
  • Data Analysis & Performance Metrics – Ability to analyse process data and KPIs using Celonis and BI tools.
  • Experience in implementing process improvements that enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer experience in a banking environment.
  • Proven ability to conduct root cause analysis and develop solutions to optimise end-to-end processes.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience mentoring junior team members.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments such as operations, IT, compliance, and customer service.
