Job summary

Aon South Africa is seeking a Private Broker to manage and grow a portfolio of high net worth clients. The role is hybrid, offering flexibility to work virtually and from our Sandton head office. You will oversee renewals, advise on cover and terms, and coordinate client activities to protect and grow client relationships.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in personal lines and extensive experience with high net worth clients, plus FSCA FAIS qualification and RE5 certification.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) completed.
• Bachelor’s degree preferable.
• Registration as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act.
• Registration as an associate with the IISA.
• Successfully completed the Regulatory Examination (RE5).

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of high net worth client accounts.
• Develop and lead day-to-day relationships with clients.
• Coordinate all activities related to the client portfolio.
• Prepare renewal documents and renewal notifications.
• Negotiate cover and rates with insurers on behalf of clients.
• Provide professional advice on cover, exclusions, and terms.
• Process premium collections and handle client accounting queries.
• Generate referrals through excellent service and knowledge of insurance.
• Maintain client satisfaction, retention, revenue and profitability.

Aon South Africa is looking to employ a Private Broker, this is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our head office in Sandton.

The role of a private broker is to manage, oversee, grow and administer a portfolio of high net worth clients in line with the MOS and servicing and growth strategies.

What the day will look like

• Responsible for a portfolio of client accounts.
• Developing and leading and enhancing the day-to-day relationship with clients.
• Manages and co-ordinates all activities related to the portfolio of clients.
• Building and updating a 'client profile' of risks and needs analysis per client.
• Responsible for all renewal activities, including preparation of renewal documents, renewal notifications renewal meetings with clients as well as cancellation letters.
• Responsibility for and ownership of tasks and problems relating to clients
• Providing professional and accurate advice to clients, including information is in respect of cover, exclusions, underwriting requirements and terms and conditions.
• Arranges Quantum valuations and review sums insured on receipt.
• Generating referrals from clients through excellent service, accurate advice and knowledge of insurance.
• Liaises and develops relationships with colleagues across the business and other key role players in the High Net worth environment.
• Maximizes cross sell opportunity at all times.
• Negotiates cover and rates with insurers on behalf of clients.
• Processing all policy documentation on relevant systems, including i the loading of new policies and endorsements.
• Responsible for premium collection within the prescribed period.
• Responsible for handling client accounting queries and processes refund requisitions.
• Liaison with the claims' division, assists clients with the first notification of loss.
• Responsible for maintaining an e-mail calendar.
• Responsible for generating own correspondence.
• Adhering to minimum Quality and Service Standards laid down by the Division
• Remains informed of market trends within the insurance industry and maintains awareness of competitor products/ offerings.
• Responsible for maintaining and improving client satisfaction, retention, revenue and profitability.
• Responsible for compliant dealings with clients.
• Contributes into the development of new business with either existing or new clients.
• Coordinates teams of Client Service Consultants (where applicable) to ensure client service standards are met.
• Responsible for general administrative and ad hoc duties that may be requested from management from time to time.
• Responsible for engaging in business development and/or contributing directly or indirectly to all business development efforts in Aon South Africa.

Qualifications.
