Job summary

Standard Bank Group, a leading Africa-focused financial services group, seeks a Private Banking professional in Hermanus to deliver relationship-based services, manage client portfolios and provide tailored financial solutions.

The role requires 2–4 years in banking with affluent/private clients, strong sales and relationship-management skills, and FAIS-aligned qualifications. Successful candidates will support credit processes and maintain regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Commerce, Advanced Diploma or equivalent NQF 7 or higher qualification in Finance, Business Commerce, Accounting or a related field.
• Qualification must be FAIS recognised or FAIS aligned.
• The incumbent must meet the Fit and Proper requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Private Banking clients through proactive and value-adding engagement.
• Drive portfolio growth through retention, cross-selling, sales delivery and identifying new client opportunities.
• Understand client needs and recommend suitable banking, lending, wealth and digital solutions.
• Support quality credit applications, annual credit reviews and effective portfolio administration.
• Manage client queries, complaints, digital adoption, risk and compliance requirements in line with bank standards.
