Private Banker - Acquisitions : High Income Banking - Durban

This role will require telling to, and networking within our clients specific target market to grow the client base and generate new business through a strong acquisitions focus.

Responsibilities:

1. Sourcing new business through cold calling, extracting value from an existing client base, networking, and referrals
2. Meeting specified budget and targets per activity
3. Delivering a quality CRM service to existing clients
4. Presentation of products and services to clients
5. Providing financial advice to clients on:
1. Lending products: including Residential, Commercial Property, Secured loans
2. Local and international banking requirements
3. Treasury and forex
6. Being a connector and an “enabler” for the clients’ needs into the other divisions of our clients

Requirements:

1. Relevant Tertiary Degree (Preferably B Acc / CA (SA), MBA, CFA, CIMA)
2. Min 5 – 6 years financial services experience
3. In-depth knowledge of deal structuring
4. Ability to network within the organisation (our clients Wealth and Investment as well as the Specialist Bank functions in South Africa)
5. Engaging and interacting with International geographies of our clients, as networking and connecting clients is critical for this role
6. Experience in Wealth Management and Structured Property Finance will be advantageous
7. Awareness and management of compliance and regulatory frameworks in all dealings with clients
8. People skills, with a specific passion for socializing and networking
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills
10. Ability to work well under pressure and within a team environment
11. Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
