Job summary

Une organisation dynamique basée à Midrand recherche un technicien d'imprimantes qualifié pour entretenir et réparer divers types d'imprimantes. Le candidat idéal doit avoir de 3 à 5 ans d'expérience, une excellente communication et un bon sens du service client. Des déplacements chez les clients sont à prévoir, et une formation sera fournie pour les technologies spécifiques utilisées.

Qualifications

• 3 - 5 ans d'expérience en tant que technicien d'imprimantes.
• Permis de conduire valide et véhicule personnel requis.
• Expérience avec différentes imprimantes (transfert thermique, étiquettes, laser).

Responsibilities

• Installer, maintenir, dépanner et réparer une variété d'imprimantes.
• Répondre aux appels de service et assurer un temps d'arrêt minimal.
• Gérer l'inventaire des fournitures d'impression et commander des remplacements.

Job description

A dynamic organization based in Midrand is looking to employ a Printer Technician with 3 – 5 years’ experience

• Matric
• Valid Driver’s License & Own Vehicle
• 3 – 5 years’ experience as a Printer Technician
• Experience working on the following printers : Thermal Transfer Printers, Full Colour Label Printers (Inkjet, Toner & Thermal) as well as laser printers
• Training will be provided
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be willing to travel to clients
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of printers and multifunction devices
• Install, configure, and test printers, copiers, and multifunctional devices (MFDs)
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, replacing parts (toners, drums, rollers), and firmware updates
• Diagnose hardware and software issues in printers, including network-related printing problems
• Respond to service calls, document repairs, and ensure minimal downtime for users
• Maintain accurate records of service and repairs using service logs or ticketing systems
• Provide user support and training on proper printer usage and basic troubleshooting
• Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for parts replacement or warranty repairs
• Manage printer supplies inventory (toner, paper, etc.) and order replacements when needed
• Assist in setting up print servers or network printing solutions as required
• Ensure all work is compliant with company policies and safety standards
