Job description

Principal Town Planner (Interim)

Location: East London (Hybrid Working)

Rate: £41.64 - £50.00 per hour (Umbrella)

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Interim Principal Town Planner for a London Local Authority. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of delivering complex, large-scale developments and the capability to sign off delegated reports.

Key Requirements

1. Minimum of 5 years' experience in development management, with extensive experience handling complex and strategic developments.
2. Comprehensive understanding of issues affecting planning, regeneration, and local government in London.
3. Strong knowledge of central government policies and development plan policies from a development management and placemaking perspective.
4. In-depth understanding of planning legislation and related laws, including local government law.
5. Good political awareness and understanding of local government operations, especially in development management and placemaking.
