Job summary

Eskom Distribution seeks a Principal Technical Official to safeguard continuity of supply by planning, operating, maintaining, repairing and building work on electrical networks up to 132 kV. The role requires a Senior Artisan Trade Certificate (DryTrade) and distribution network experience.

You will lead a team, ensure policy adherence, and drive safety and quality across maintenance activities in the Delmas area of Mpumalanga Highveld Zone.

Qualifications

• Senior Artisan Trade Certificate (DryTrade) at NQF4 with 120 credits.
• 2 years distribution network operating and maintenance experience.
• Familiarity with Eskom standards, procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on electrical networks up to 132 kV.
• Build and recommission assets on the network.
• Ensure health and safety compliance across activities.
• Provide on-the-job training and knowledge transfer.
• Deliver high-quality customer service and outage support.

Eskom Distribution is looking for Principal Technical Official, position/task T10. The Department is Operations and Maintenance, and the Business Unit is Limlanga Cluster. The location is Mpumalanga Highveld Zone, Delmas CNC. Area of specialisation is to ensure the continuity of supply to customers by executing planning, operating, maintaining, repairing and building work according to policies, directives, standards, procedures, work practices, guidelines and service agreements on the electrical network up to and including 132 kilovolt (kV).
