Water & Sanitation ● Bulk Water Technical Services

TCOE SALARY: R1 307 905 PER ANNUM ● LOCATION: Water City, Bellville

Requirements:

• BEng or BSc (Eng) degree in Civil or Chemical Engineering

• Preferred BEng or BSc (Eng) degree in Civil or Chemical

Engineering with a master’s Qualification in water

treatment

• 8 years or more relevant post-graduate experience

• Preferred 8 years or more relevant experience post

registration

• Professional Registration (PrEng) with the Engineering

Council of South Africa (or equivalent body recognised by

the Washington Accord)

• Computer literate

• A valid Code EB driver’s licence

• Must be Physically fit

Key Performance Areas:

• Oversee complex infrastructure and asset management

projects, focusing on the preparation of engineering

designs, specifications, and drawings.

• Initiation and Implementation of Water Treatment

Optimisation Investigations

• Providing Water Treatment Process support and applying

whole life cycle asset management for operations and

maintenance.

• Manages treatment investigations with internal and

external units

• Manages the communication and relationships between

various stakeholders

• Explore and implement new ways of delivering services

that contribute to the improvement of municipal processes

• Drawing up of correspondence of a more complex and

involved nature to facilitate the functioning of the Branch

Including preparation of capital and operating estimates

within a planned project and manages and controls

expenditure against the approved budget allocations.
