About the Role

This senior role is responsible for establishing and directing a research agenda focused on understanding genetic variation and its impact on human health and disease. You will lead a team of scientists and technicians, secure research funding, and publish high-impact findings. Key Responsibilities

• Establish and lead an independent research program in genomics , focusing on areas such as population genetics, cancer genomics, or gene regulation.
• Secure competitive research grants from national and international funding agencies.
• Supervise, train, and mentor postdoctoral fellows, research assistants, and graduate students.
• Oversee the design and execution of large-scale genomic studies, including whole-genome sequencing and transcriptomics.
• Analyse and interpret complex genomic datasets, employing advanced bioinformatics tools and statistical methods.
• Publish research findings in high-impact scientific journals and present at international conferences.

Requirements
