Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer in South Africa with 15+ years of highway and infrastructure design experience to lead multidisciplinary teams on major projects. You will provide technical input, develop design procedures, and ensure cost-effective, high-quality deliverables.

Professionally registered with ECSA, you will coordinate with clients and stakeholders, uphold standards, and mentor staff while contributing to project budgets and schedules in a dynamic consultancy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 15+ years' experience in highway and major infrastructure design.
• Professionally Registered with ECSA as an Engineer.
• Demonstrated experience working with Main Roads WA projects and standards.

Responsibilities

• Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team.
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
• Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
• Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
• Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
• Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
• Prepares technical specification sections.
• Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
• Carries out interdisciplinary coordination on projects.
