Job Summary

TheSHI Services Principal Architect – Azurewill lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale cloud solutions for our company’s end customers and partners. They will also serve as a thought leader in the Azure services practice. This position requires a combination of deep technical expertise, strategic leadership, and customer-facing consulting skills.

This position is a remote position with Home Office setup as determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities

Include but not limited to:

  • Serve as the lead architect on Azure professional services engagements, responsible for overall solution design, technical integrity, and successful delivery
  • Translate customer requirements into Azure architectures, aligning with best practices, security, and operational excellence
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and consultants to ensure solutions are delivered on time, on budget, with high customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers throughout the post-sales lifecycle, providing architecture guidance, technical leadership, and thought partnership.
  • Lead workshops, assessments, design sessions, and technical deep dives across a wide range of Azure capabilities (IaaS, PaaS, networking, identity, security, DevOps.)
  • Own technical governance and support project delivery milestones, documentation, and architecture reviews.
  • Identify risks and drive mitigation strategies across architecture and delivery phases.
  • Contribution to continuous improvement of delivery methodologies, templates, and best practices
  • Support knowledge transfer and enablement for customer teams and internal delivery staff.
  • Stay current with Microsoft Azure innovations, roadmap, and service updates to maintain leadership in this space.
  • Contribute to the development of the SHI Microsoft Azure services practice including building reusable delivery frameworks, defining engagement best practices and creating content for Sales and Delivery.
  • Provide thought leadership through presentations, whitepapers, and industry engagements.
  • Work closely with sales, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Drive the growth of professional services revenue by identifying and pursing Microsoft Azure focused opportunities
  • Develop and deliver a world-class professional services experience
Qualifications
  • Completed Bachelor’s, Technical degree or related work experience in Computer Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of technical experience with increasing responsibility
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise Azure solutions in a post-sales, customer-facing capacity
  • Strong understanding of core Azure services and architecture patterns across compute, networking, identity, storage, containers, and automation
  • Proficiency with infrastructure as code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform), DevOps pipelines, and CI/CD practices.
  • Strong knowledge of security, governance, identity (Entra ID), and compliance considerations in Azure.
  • Experience working in professional services, consulting, or systems integration delivery models.
Required Skills
  • Background in large-scale migrations, hybrid cloud, Azure landing zones, and application modernization projects.
  • Experience with regulated or complex environments
  • Microsoft Cloud Certifications
  • Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, and modern delivery frameworks
  • Expert and timely decision-making skills
  • Strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Receptive listening skills, with ability to present ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to travel to client sites upon reasonable request
Additional Information
  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
