About the Client
Our client is a dynamic mid-sized property management firm that specialises in prime and super prime residential and mixed-tenure developments across central London. As the business continues its steady organic growth and explores acquisition strategies, they seek to expand their finance function with a dedicated Prime Accountant to support their operations from Cape Town.
About the Role

As a Prime Accountant, you will be responsible for managing accurate financial records and reporting on the financial position of an assigned client portfolio. You will collaborate closely with the London-based operations and finance teams and contribute to year-end service charge accounts, monthly reconciliations, and detailed client reporting.

This role requires precision, proactivity, and excellent communication skills, with the ability to meet internal and external reporting deadlines.
Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review budget packs with internal stakeholders and clients
  • Produce year-end audit packs and liaise with auditors to deliver compliant service charge accounts
  • Reconcile all relevant bank accounts monthly and ensure reviews are conducted according to KPIs
  • Maintain a high standard of client financial reporting, at least quarterly
  • Process property-specific recharges such as heating or water
  • Maintain ground rent funds and liaise with landlords
  • Update and manage property data and contracts in systems (e.g., Qube)
  • Respond to lessee and client financial queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with financial compliance linked to the Building Safety Act 2022
Requirements

  • 2-3 years' experience in property management accounting
  • Around 5 years' experience in general accounts/finance roles
  • Solid Excel proficiency
  • Demonstrated experience in year-end service charge accounts
  • Exposure to property/accounting systems would be advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to work independently
  • System experience is not required but would be a nice to have
