SUMMARY :

Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.

About the YES Initiative

The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

Position : Primary packaging and secondary packaging assistant

Stipend : R6400.00 pm

Location : Pietermaritzburg

POSITION INFO : About the role :

To support the packaging process by ensuring that products are correctly packed in their initial (primary) packaging according to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities :

• Primary packing (capsule bottling and sealing)
• Blister packing (setting up machine; aligning; testing PVC and Foil; change parts learning)
• In process checks of products
• Secondary packing (Labelling; cartooning; batch coding)
• Tertiary packing (Boxing and reconciliation)
• Palletizing
• Primary area and secondary area cleaning
