Are you a commercially minded finance professional with strong financial modelling skills and experience in the renewable energy or power sector? Our client is looking for a Pricing & Commercial Modelling Specialist to support strategic bids, commercial proposals and business planning. This role will suit someone who enjoys working with numbers, analysing complex information and turning financial data into commercially sound business decisions.

The Opportunity

You will play an important role in developing and assessing pricing strategies for tenders, proposals and new business opportunities. Working closely with sales, marketing and senior stakeholders, you will provide financial and commercial insight to ensure opportunities are both competitive and profitable.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and enhance financial and commercial models for tenders, proposals, business planning and investment opportunities.
• Evaluate tender and client requirements and translate them into commercially viable pricing solutions.
• Assess costs, revenues, margins and profitability to support informed pricing decisions.
• Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, opportunities and potential commercial risks.
• Prepare commercial scenarios, forecasts and projections to support business planning.
• Provide insights into pricing, margins, revenue performance and market benchmarking.
• Break down complex cost structures and develop clear, commercially focused pricing recommendations.
• Review business opportunities and highlight areas where profitability can be improved or financial exposure reduced.
• Prepare and present commercial analysis and financial models to senior management and key internal stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with sales, finance and other business teams to ensure pricing strategies align with overall business objectives.
• Support ongoing improvements to pricing tools, modelling methodologies and commercial reporting.

What We're Looking For

• A degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience within the renewable energy, power or related infrastructure sector.
• Previous experience in commercial modelling, pricing, financial analysis or a similar commercial finance role.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
• Understanding of project finance, energy markets/trading and commercial pricing principles.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• A commercially astute approach, with the ability to understand both financial and business drivers.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to interpret complex information and communicate findings in a clear and practical manner.
