Job Purpose
Job Description
- Identify markets that willdeliver revenue at minimal cost through value chain and discount optimisation toensure margins are maximised.
- Perform market research, focusing on productpricing and discount matrix, to ensure the business is informed on possiblerevenue/cost impact.
- Performprofitability analysis on business cases as presented by the business whethercurrent or new business to ensure a business portfolio that minimises risks andmaximises margins.
- Administer the Basic Fuel Price (BFP) pricingmechanism and develop models for routine price calculations.
- Maintain and update SAP master data with the correct and current elements of pricing for all traded products to ensure pricing is aligned to contracts, billing is accurate and price variances are kept at a minimum level.
- Coordinate all administration related to pricing issues on SAP to ensure that an auditable record of changes is maintained.
- Develop, maintain andback-test price forecasting models that provide price inputs for the monthlyrefinery production, annual business planning and capital project valuations toensure the validity of modelling techniques used and assumptions
- Preparereports on price trends and economic activity to ensure that management isaware of this information and takes it into consideration when making businessdecisions
- Represent PetroSA at external engagements such as at the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources (DMPR) and any other industry/regulatory forums.
- Contain expenditurewithin the budget guidelines to ensure that funds are optimally utilised inservice delivery.
- Assist and provide guidance to customers relating to pricingto ensure quality customer service.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7)/Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Economics or Engineering
- 5 – 7 years’relevant accounting/pricing experience; preferably within an Oil product pricingenvironment
- Proficiency in Sales & Distribution (S/D) SAPModule is a prerequisite
