Position: Full Time Preschool Teacher, 35 hours a week, part-year, from August to May.

The center is closed during the summer. This role involves working in a classroom to provide an appropriate social and emotional environment, helping children learn, grow, and build trusting relationships.

This classroom-based role works with typically and atypically developing children, providing daily supervision and support for their developmental needs.

Salary: The hourly wage range is $17.21 - $24.71.

The minimum requirements are:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, OR
  • Be currently enrolled in courses to obtain the degree requirement, willing to obtain a CDA, and qualify for a waiver while finishing ECE coursework.

Tri-County Head Start will provide training support, including CDA support and coaching, and will obtain the appropriate waiver on your behalf. Financial support toward a BA or AA degree in Early Childhood Education is also available per policy.

Previous experience working with children from birth through five years old is preferred.
